About CTT

The Center for Technology Transfer ("CTT") reports to the office of the Vice Provost for Research.  CTT is a team of professionals with expertise in various aspects of technology transfer including research and development, intellectual property, sponsored research, licensing agreements, marketing, and finance.

We are dedicated to moving Penn's world-class technologies to the marketplace where they will be developed for the public good.  We:

• Protect, market and license inventions arising from Penn research;
• Match external technology needs to Penn invention portfolio;
• Support research and education at Penn;
• Promote the economic development of our region;
• Facilitate collaborations with industry on a regional and national basis;
• Seek to generate industry sponsored research;
• Build and maintain relationships with the investment community; and
• Assist in creating new businesses based on Penn technologies.
